Wyoming
Wyoming is a landscape of distance and scale—wide valleys, open range, mountains rising abruptly from the plains, and skies that seem to go on forever. There is a sparseness here that makes you pay attention: to the shape of a distant ridge, the movement of weather across the land, or the small signs of life within an enormous landscape.
Much of my time in Wyoming has been spent looking and drawing, trying to capture not just what I saw, but the feeling of being surrounded by so much space.
