2026.07.27 Inspiration Point Trail – Grand Teton NP

This morning, in my mind, I went back to Inspiration Point Trail in Grand Teton National Park.

Sometimes people question whether our National Parks are worthy of the funding they receive. Then you visit one. You find people from around the world—but mostly Americans—hiking the trails, camping beneath the stars, paddling the lakes, and simply sitting quietly, taking it all in.

These places remind us to step outside, to slow down, and to reconnect with landscapes much larger than ourselves. They protect wildlife and history, but they also protect something less tangible: our opportunity to experience wonder.

That seems like something worth preserving.
