The Channel Islands
The Channel Islands rise just off the Southern California coast, close enough to see from the mainland yet distinctly removed from it. Reaching them means crossing the Santa Barbara Channel, leaving behind the familiar coastline for a landscape shaped by ocean, wind, and isolation.
The islands offer rugged cliffs, open grasslands, quiet coves, and expansive views of sea and sky. The work gathered here comes from time spent observing and responding to this remarkable landscape just beyond our coast.
