My solo exhibit “Abstracted Landscapes” opens at Gallery 113 in Santa Barbara on March 3 – March 29 with a reception Thursday, March 5 from 5 – 8 pm during Santa Barbara’s 1st Thursdays.

Last year, I started working with cold wax medium. Cold wax allows me to manipulate the paint in ways that I couldn’t do with paint alone. Since then, I’ve been seeing how far I could push imagery. What makes a landscape? Is it color? Is it recognizable? I’ll let you decide!

This piece is “California Dreamin’ 1A” and is oil with cold wax medium on a 30″ x 30″ cradled board.
