Description
Today, I painted plein air at the Ojai Meadow Preserve. There’s something about leaving the house and getting out there fairly early that’s sooo satisfying: Insects humming around, dogs sniffing every plant, the smell of horses.
I realized I have painted there so much (it’s very convenient to my home) that I have to start putting the date in the title to keep track of them all.
I took a photo of this scene and it truly amazes me how we think photos are true until you really look at the photo. Frankly, I think my painting is more true!
