Malibu Morning

Painted plein air along the Malibu coast on one of those glorious Southern California mornings when the sun actually wins. Our beaches can be surprisingly foggy and cold, but that morning the light was clear, illuminating the rocks and bringing out the shifting blues and greens of the water. I was able to capture the scene before the fog began creeping back in and the coastline disappeared into gray.
