2026.03.30 Devereaux Lagoon – UCSB

Devereux Lagoon has a quiet stillness that always makes me slow down. The water reflects everything—the sky, the trees, the distant mountains—and even the birds seem to move more gently here. I’m drawn to places like this where land and water blur into each other, where the edges feel soft and shifting. At UCSB, Devereux feels like its own small world tucked beside the campus—part wetland, part sanctuary. This drawing came from that sense of calm, watching the birds gather and the landscape settle into evening light.
