2026.04.16 The Ojai Saddle Trail

Another morning along the Ojai Saddle Trail, where the path disappears into dry grasses and the mountains rise quietly beyond the oaks. It’s a landscape I return to often because it asks so little—just that you walk, look, and let the space do its work.What I love here is the feeling of openness. Even close to town, it feels expansive and untamed, with the trail winding through grasses, scattered rocks, and the steady presence of the Topa Topa mountains in the distance. It’s familiar ground, but it never feels repetitive—only grounding.
