2026.04.13 Off of Creek Rd

This drawing came from the same day of visiting studios during Ojai Studio Artists’ Second Saturday open studios. Since I wasn’t opening my own studio that month, I had the rare chance to spend the day seeing places I normally only hear about.This quiet spot off Creek Road stayed with me—a simple structure sitting in open land, framed by trees and hills, with that familiar Ojai feeling of space and stillness. There was something about its modesty that felt grounding. It reminded me that so much of what makes a place memorable isn’t grandeur, but the quiet way it belongs exactly where it is.
