Along the bike trail near Oak View, the land opens into long views of fields, low brush, and distant hills. It’s a place where the movement feels gentle—nothing dramatic, just the quiet unfolding of the landscape as you ride through it.I’m drawn to these softer stretches of the trail, where the eye follows the curve of the land instead of the road. The shadows of the shrubs, the open ground, and the distant ridgelines all create a sense of space and calm. It’s a familiar route, but one that keeps offering small moments worth stopping for.
