2026.03.26 Ojai Bike Trail

This stretch of the Ojai Bike Trail near Oak View is one of those places where the valley feels especially open. The fields spread wide, the oaks settle low across the land, and the mountains rise in long layers beyond, holding everything in place.Riding here, I’m always aware of how quickly the town gives way to landscape. The trail becomes less about getting somewhere and more about being inside the land itself—moving slowly enough to notice the shapes of the hills, the quiet of the fields, and the changing light across the valley. It’s a familiar route, but never the same twice.
