Taft Gardens has a quiet intimacy to it—shaded paths, layered foliage, stone edges, and that feeling of stepping into a place that has been gently shaped over time. It’s less about grand views and more about close looking.What drew me here was the play of light and shadow: dark pockets under the trees, bright openings catching leaves and stone, and the way the eye moves slowly through the space. This drawing is about that rhythm—small details, shifting light, and the calm of being surrounded by a garden that feels both tended and wild.
