Palm Springs and the surrounding desert are shaped by dramatic contrasts—broad, sunlit valleys set against rugged mountains, brilliant desert color, and mornings that can be surprisingly crisp and cool. My work from this area follows those contrasts beyond Palm Springs itself, into the surrounding preserves, canyons, and open desert landscapes. Through drawings and paintings, I return to the quieter side of the Coachella Valley—a landscape that rewards slowing down and looking closely.
