Oregon

I’ve traveled through Oregon twice, drawing along the way. What stayed with me was the variety of the landscape—the Pacific coast, forests and rivers, and the changing terrain as I moved through the state.
These drawings and paintings come from the places that made me stop and look a little longer: a view from the road, a stretch of coastline, a quiet place along the way, or simply the way the light changed the landscape.
I draw on location whenever I can. The work becomes less a record of the destination than a record of that particular moment—where I was, what caught my attention, and what it felt like to be there.
