Not every painting begins with a place. Some begin with an idea, a piece of music, a poem, a conversation, a news story, or an experience that lingers long after the moment has passed. These works explore the emotional and conceptual side of my practice, using paint to reflect on themes that are often difficult to express in words.
While the subjects vary, they share a common origin: curiosity about what it means to be human. They are responses to memory, relationships, social issues, loss, resilience, and the events that shape our lives. Rather than offering answers, these paintings invite reflection and conversation, leaving space for viewers to bring their own experiences and interpretations.
Each work begins with something that resonated deeply enough that I couldn't simply walk away from it. Painting becomes a way of exploring that experience—asking questions, uncovering meaning, and discovering what lies beneath the surface.
