Idaho was supposed to be a place we passed through on our way from Canada to Glacier National Park, but it surprised me. The landscape continually caught my attention, and I found myself wishing we had more time to stop, look, draw, and explore.

Even the small moments stayed with me—including buying potatoes from a roadside honor farm stand. Maybe it was the setting, but they really did seem to taste better in Idaho.

This work comes from that first journey through the state, with the hope that next time Idaho will be a destination rather than simply part of the road to somewhere else.
