Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park feels almost impossibly grand—steep mountains rising above clear lakes, waterfalls spilling down rocky slopes, and views that seem to open farther with every turn. We arrived after traveling through Idaho and Montana, and Glacier felt like a dramatic culmination of that journey.
Much of my work here began with drawing directly from what was in front of me. Slowing down to draw gave me a way to absorb the scale of the landscape—not just the iconic views, but the shapes, patterns, light, and small observations that make a place memorable. These drawings and paintings are part of my ongoing record of experiencing a landscape through looking.
