Artists Choice: A Collaboration of Local Artists and DA Davidson

I’m honored to be with a group of artists that I not only like personally – but I love their work as well.

We are fortunate that DA Davidson in Ventura is such a supporter of the arts. Their office space has turned into one of the most beautiful exhibit spaces in Ventura.

Does that sound weird? Are you reluctant to go in? Don’t worry! They love having people look at the work.

DA Davidson
60 S. California St., #301
Ventura, CA 93001
You are welcome to view the art M-F from 10 am to 4 pm.

We also have a number of events that the artists will be there so you can see the work after hours.

Ventura Artwalk
Saturday, Sept. 28 (I think most of us will be there from 12 – 4’ish…)
Special Artists Reception
(need gifts for people on your gift lists?)
Friday, Nov. 22, 5 – 7 pm
Ventura Wine Walk
Saturday, Dec. 7, noon – 8pm.

I have 3 pieces in this show including the one above called Leo Carillo Morning.

This piece was painted plein air (which means I painted it Leo Carillo State Beach – it’s close to Malibu) and it was a perfect morning – a nice breeze, painting with my friend Kay Zetlmaier (who is also in this show) and the painting worked! It’s 8×10. If you’re interested in purchasing, email me for price and easy way to purchase!

You see the painting on the left? That’s at Leo Carillo on my portable easel. Plein Air groups won’t publish your photo unless you have proof you painted it outdoors. So… here it is.
