Dreamscapes Series

The Dreamscape series grew out of my time in San Miguel de Allende, where I attended a cold wax workshop. I began by experimenting—seeing what kinds of surfaces, textures, and layers I could create by combining oil paint with cold wax.
Out of that exploration, the Dreamscape series emerged. The paintings begin with places I have experienced, but I’m not interested in recreating them literally. Instead, I work with memory, color, texture, and the physical surface of the painting, allowing the landscape to shift into something less specific and more remembered.
They are landscapes, but landscapes filtered through memory—somewhere between the place as it was and the way it continues to live in my mind.
