Day 83 of My 90 Day Painting Challenge
View from Skagway Train
The only time that I have a hard time working on these is days that I work. It can be hard to come home, have dinner and then go to my studio when I’m tired and frankly, I want to chillax! But, once I’m in the studio, I tend to be happy.
Since today it was cloudy and gloomy here, I really wanted to paint something with some blue skies and sunshine. I found this image that I took on the Skagway train. On the train, we took a ride from the town to the Canadian border. The historic train ran through back country but it also served as a lifeline for the area – a way to bring supplies, etc to Skagway.
It’s hard to believe I’m on 83! One more week! I do have more boards left, so I think I’ll continue this in some form, I enjoy painting these little guys. I also have to paint a 12×12 as part of a fundraiser for Ojai Studio Artists. I’m not sure what I’m going to paint, but I’ll figure it out in the next few days. That’s it until tomorrow!
