Morning in the Meadow
Since I’ve been working on these pieces, I’ve painted by photographs I’ve taken. Today, it’s not as hot as it has been so I decided to go to the Ojai Meadow.
It was a little hazy, but it was still so wonderful to be outside… to listen to the birds while I painted… the insects, the wind rustling through the trees.
Painting plein air is a challenge: the light changes so quickly that sometimes it can be difficult to get all the info down before things look completely different. I think that’s why I like it: it’s a challenge!
I truly feel fortunate to have this wonderful spot a couple of minutes from my home.
