Santa Cruz Cove
Well, I’ve painted on all kinds of supports during these 30+ days and I’ve settled on my favorite: DaVinci Pro Panels with Resist-Grip. I’ve had some trouble with some of the other panels. I don’t know if it’s the heat, the humidity or what, but the paint is just slipping around.
The resist-grip seems to work very well with a palette knife. I don’t feel like I’m fighting my paint.
That being said, my painting today (not on the resist-grip, so we had some issues) is from Santa Cruz island. The island is so huge that you can see one area and think you’ve seen it all, when in reality, just a little bit further along the coastline, it’s entirely different. It’s a treasure of National Park!
If you have time, take a boat out there and see the wonders yourself!
