Foster Park II
Couldn’t resist doing another Foster Park (with water!!) painting today. I popped in and out of my studio a few times. I’m hosting the AfterGlow for Focus On the Masters on Sunday featuring Jeff Mann. The only problem? I’ll be out of town at a family reunion in Houston, Texas. So… my lovely daughter-in-law is helping my wonderful husband throw the party. But…I’m doing all the cooking so they don’t have to do much that day. Inbetween making Alfredo sauce, sauteeing peppers and onions and more, I painted.
I also had a new collector come to my studio and she bought one of my paintings! It’s called Wounded Sun and it was hanging in the Ojai Valley Museum. A well worth distraction from the studio! Here it is: it’s 48″ h x 36″ wide and is on cradled board.
It was part of an exhibit by Ojai Studio Artists at the Ojai Valley Museum called “Scorched Souls” it was our reaction to The Thomas Fire.
Anyhoo… my studio time was sporadic today.
Even though I had said 90 paintings in 90 days…I will be taking a 4 day pause starting on Friday. I’ll be attending a family reunion in Houston, Texas and the thought of painting in a hotel… um.. just doesn’t work. By the time I get to my hotel, it will be late and frankly, I’m going to want to be spending time with my big, fat Greek family! Opa!
