Central California

Central California is a landscape of transitions—coastal hills giving way to broad valleys, farmland, grasslands, and mountains. It is a part of the state I have traveled through and returned to many times, often finding the quieter places between the better-known destinations the most compelling.
The work gathered here reflects those encounters: landscapes discovered along the way, places where I stopped to paint or draw, and views that stayed with me long enough to revisit later in the studio.
