California is home, and its landscapes have been part of my work for many years. From the coast and islands to inland valleys, mountains, farmland, and open spaces, it is a place of extraordinary variety—and one I continue to discover.
Some of these places are part of my everyday life; others I return to again and again. I have drawn and painted them plein air, worked from my own photographs in the studio, and revisited them later through memory and observation.
The work gathered here reflects that ongoing relationship with California—a landscape that is familiar, but never quite the same twice.
