We entered Alberta from the Northwest Territories, hoping we might finally leave the wildfire smoke behind. Instead, it seemed to follow us south. As we traveled through the province and eventually toward the Canadian Rockies, the landscape—and our experience of it—continued to change.
My work from Alberta comes from places encountered along that journey, with deeper groups of work from Bow Valley Provincial Park, Banff National Park, the Icefields Parkway and Jasper National Park. There are also drawings and paintings from elsewhere along the way—brief stops and landscapes that caught my attention as we traveled.
