La Canada Larga Road Winter

One thing I really like about this project is that if I want to try something slightly different, I don’t feel the pressure to make it “right” as if I were painting a larger piece.

This piece is 4″ x 4″ — Small enough to experiment. I aimed to have large blocks of color (variations on greens) as opposed to finer detail. How can I get this across without showing a lot of detail? What’s the minimum I can get away with?

What do you think? Do you think I succeeded?

La Canada Larga Rd is an unicorporated area of Ventura and is a large ranch. I love driving back there — especially in the winter when everything is green.

Can’t believe I’m 1/9 through my 90 days!
